It’s true, I’m obsessed with fonts. Show me a graphic artist that isn’t. I am drawn to typography so much, like that of a woman compared to shoes. I’ll take a pretty font any day!
Thought I’d show you the fonts that I currently love working with. I change my mind every couple of months and sometimes I find a new one to love. Other times, I revert back to something old and a tried and true font to me. They’ll always be there for me, right?
I am a huge supporter of professional font designers and do support them by purchasing fonts from Veer and MyFonts. But, many times, a nice and generous designer puts something out for free. This is just a mix of those.

4990810 – I love having access to a good, grungy font. If I can’t find the time to design something myself this works well. Great for setting off numbers.
Alexis LTD – Very mid-century modern! Works for just the “write” things.
Bank Gothic – I find this is great for pieces that need a more masculine feel.
BEBAS – I can’t get enough of this bold and block style!
Bombshell Pro – Definitely not free, but oh so sexy!
Diner – this is actually a set of them, in various widths. Sleek and modern.
FG Saga – one of the oldest fonts I have. It’s just someone’s handwriting and it makes for great faux signatures in designs.
Jane Austen – If you don’t use the write letters with this one it can look a little hard to read. But, another fav script.
Lane Narrow – Comes in a few other widths, but I do love a clean sans-serif!
Melany Lane – very girly and perfect for things that need that elegant touch.
Metropolis 1920 – Strong and very super hero-like! Love this for titles.
NEOU (OT1) – Another bold but sleek font. All caps and strong.
Ostrich Sans Rounded – Another one with various styles. Tall. Sleek. GORGEOUS!
Qumpellka No12 – Script, but bold. I like that it’s not hand-written and still elegant.
Rider Tall - I discovered this one and I think I use this the most these days. It’s perfect for titles and headers.
Simple Ronde - when I want something to have a script feel but more feminine but not frilly, this is my go-to!
Strange Love Next – a fun, hand-written feel that isn’t over-sloppy. I love that.

holly - As stated in the blog post, this is a mix of free and ones that you can purchase that I use – My personal Top Fonts at this moment.
Brandi Eck Sutherlin - Thanks for this! Quick question, I’m not seeing that the Strange Love font is free. Was that just one of your favs you added to the mix?
Sara S - Oh I love “Bombshell Pro” but yikes, that’s out of my price range. Thanks for posting these, I love looking at fonts!
Holly McCaig-Creative - Angela, It just depends on my mood at the moment, but lately my serifed font choice is Rider Tall. I also stick to the classic Georgia a lot as well. On this list of fonts the ones I have bought are: Bombshell Pro, Melany Lane and Strange Love Next. I have quite a few in my collection that I bought but I feel have been over used so I just let them sit and stew for a while until I love them again.
Mary-Kaitlyn Hester - Thanks for sharing these Holly!
Angela Mulberg - I would be curious to know what fonts you pay for and like the best. This was very helpful for me though. I have been trying to find some other san serif fonts. Thank you!
Kahuku Photography - Oooh, I love many of these. Thanks for sharing your design style.
